I’m so far behind with blogging that this shoot is actually from three months ago! It was a fun morning spent around Bramhall Park in Cheshire getting some relaxed, natural family portraits for this lovely family. I knew they wanted a nice natural photo of the four of them together, as well as some of each of their two gorgeous little children.
That’s ok, I thought.
But 5 minutes into the shoot, the little girl Maeve got scared by some pretty aggressive geese and decided she wanted to go home. We managed to get a few photos, but she wasn’t having much fun. A tea break later and letting her decide where we went and what we did, and she absolutely loved it. We ended up with some stunning family portraits and the family now have quite a few of them in nice big frames on their walls at home. Perfect.
Here are some of my favourites from the morning…

Family portraits like this, outdoors just having fun and being yourselves are (in my opinion) much nicer, more treasured and look far better on the walls of your home than staged portrait sessions in a studio in front of a plain background. If you’d like to have photos like this – a real, natural snapshot of your family as they are today, then please do get in touch.
