Just before Christmas I met up with Anna and her two lovely little people Martha and Stanley. They’re amazing, happy, fun children. These are my favourites from their session. And, I think, this goes to prove that you don’t need mid-summer weather to produce beautiful family portraits… Winter family portraits are really cool and at least as gorgeous as ones taken in dryer, warmer times of the year…
Of course it helped that we were blessed with strong, low sunshine on this cold late November day…

One of my favourites…

Variety is important from a family portrait session… So we stopped for a sandwich, coffee and change of clothes and went to the pond and park!

My overall favourite… Unposed, unstaged. Real.

Colour!

What fun?! Thanks to Anna and Paul for asking me to capture a snapshot of life for them in these family portraits. Life passes by, really quickly at times, and it’s so important to capture it and appreciate it. If you’d like a family portrait session like this, please contact me – don’t feel like you need to wait for ‘better weather’… After all – we live in the north of the UK!
