I know that Jenny and Tim’s Arley Hall wedding has turned into a bit of a blogging epic but it’s worth it isn’t it? If you need to catch up to this point, here is part one and here’s part two.
While evening guests started to arrive and daytime guests moved up to the modern barn at Arley Hall, me and my right-hand-girl for the day Cat Hepple went for a walk around the Arley Hall gardens with Jenny and Tim in the most amazing evening sunlight ever (that’s a fact!).
The Arley Hall herbaceous border is just indescribably spectacular…

A stunning portrait.

When I visited Arley Hall with Jenny and Tim a few weeks before their wedding, I’d spotted this place right at the end of the gardens where I knew I wanted to get a photo. It seemed like such a peaceful spot and with the humongous hedging pillars behind them I just really liked it. I thought it would look much better than going for the obvious and sitting them on the steps you can see behind them. And I reckon I was right.

How great is this?!

I couldn’t resist a few more in the herbaceous borders on the way back to the hall.

As soon as we got to Olympia for the evening reception, it was straight into their first dance sung live by the fantastic Take That tribute act.

Then Jenny had her second dance with her Dad. I love that.

The end!
What an amazing wedding, featuring a tremendous couple at a stunning venue! I’ll admit I was more nervous about this one beforehand, partly because I’d only known Jenny and Tim a matter of weeks, partly because I was working at such a picturesque venue (what if you don’t do it justice?!) and partly because my good pal and fellow photographer Andy McDonald was one of the wedding guests and was keeping his beady eye on me (thanks for the lens loans mate!). But in reality it couldn’t have gone more perfectly…
Jenny and Tim – massive congratulations. Thanks for having me (and Cat) as your wedding photographer. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you both and capturing your day for you. I wish you a very long and very happy marriage.
If you’re getting married at Arley Hall, I’d love to talk to you about being your wedding photographer – so please get in touch!
