I love this engagement shoot for lots of reasons. One – I love Helen and Tom. They’re such great people, and they have that kind of coolness about them that you kind of wish you were like them, just a little bit. I’m so lucky with my clients!
Also, the shoot was quite impromptu – we had planned a trip to Tatton Park but this was the day that the sky decided the world needed watering, so it rained. A LOT. We met in a lovely little pub in Knutsford, had a drink and a chat about their wedding day and to be honest it was so nice, quiet and cosy probably could’ve finished with an afternoon snooze.
So instead of squelching over to Tatton, I had a little scout around and found a big empty beer garden around the back of the pub – so we did the shoot there! I think it helped Helen who really wasn’t looking forward to ‘having her photo taken’ that we just got on with it and had some fun.
Luckily by now the incessant rain had stopped and we had blue sky and sun for our beer garden e-shoot!
That was a fun hour! And this was only a week and a bit before their wedding, which is up next on the blog!
