Kate and Romin were married two and a bit weeks ago at Styal Lodge in Cheshire so in preparation for their wedding coming to the blog soon, here’s their e-shoot. We had scheduled it in for a Friday evening during the sunny spell we were having about a month ago… We were getting some lovely evening sunlight and to-die-for sunsets so this would make a great time for a shoot.
Well guess what? It wasn’t sunny, there was no lovely evening sunlight and no to-die-for sunset. It was raining. Well if that’s your game, Mother Nature, we’ll make our own nice light and even have a go at creating some sunshine!
I wasn’t sure whether Kate and Romin would still be up for a shoot in dull light and rain, but they were! This is just one of the very many reasons I love them! And it became one of the most fun and successful e-shoots of the year!

We embraced the rain – these first two are technically test shots with the umbrella, but sometimes test shots make the best shots (I just made that up!) and I love these two!

My favourite from the whole shoot I think – not only does it prove that photography is fun, but that photography in the rain is fun!

A tender moment, and a bit of magic light!

I chose this top secret cheshire location because if the sun had been out, there are lots of great little areas which would’ve looked great. And because I had this in my head, I knew I had to recreate the look with some fake sunshine.

They had their e-shoot photos made into a guest book too which got some great comments on their Styal Lodge wedding day! Coming soon to a blog near you!
