So where were we at the end of part one? Oh yeah – Anna and Neil are now Mr and Mrs! So after a few family group photos at the church we headed off for some photos of the newlyweds at nearby Walkden Gardens before zipping over to Osteria Mauro for the reception…
Walkden Gardens is so beautiful!

I love these two of Anna in the Japanese bit of Walkden Gardens.

Actually, I love these two of Neil too!

Wisteria!

Then it was off to Osteria Mauro – an amazing Italian restaurant in Mottram St Andrew in posh Cheshire! I’d visited with Anna and Neil after their engagement shoot a few weeks before and fell in love with the place – it’s so nice! Very cool, and very Italian. I spent five minutes while Anna and Neil started to mingle, grabbing a few venue detail shots.

The food was deeeeeeeee-licious. I reckon I’ll be taking Mrs J there for dinner soon!

In between the meal and the speeches, I whisked Anna and Neil over the road to a tatty field I had discovered to take some cool contrasty shots, something a little different. A fun five minutes!

The speeches were funny and heartfelt. I loved hearing Anna and Neil’s full back story, humorously told by Anna’s Dad, Neil and best man Dave. Because of the layout of Osteria, the speeches were down in the bar area which I was a bit dubious about beforehand but I needn’t have been – it created a really nice atmosphere.

Anna had told me that before the first dance she was planning to sing with her choir… I didn’t question this further but expected a normal, low key couple of songs. Oh no, how wrong was I? Anna sings in a group called Crystal Chords – one word – A-MAZ-ING. This is no ordinary choir. Great singers, hilarious arrangements and facial expressions, just brilliant. They sang three songs I think but I could’ve happily listened to, and taken photos of a two-hour set. Neil and the guests absolutely loved it too.

First dance…

Goodnight!

Huge congratulations to Anna and Neil and thanks for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. I had a great day and have loved getting to know you both through your wedding planning, engagement pre-wedding shoot and your fab wedding day. I wish you all the luck and happiness for the future.
