Laura and Ash got married in June at the Blessed John Henry Newman Catholic Church in Warrington before travelling across to Tarporley in Cheshire for their wedding reception at the Macdonald Portal Hotel. When I think back I remember it being a gorgeous day, but it didn’t start that way. It was torrential rain throughout the morning but nothing was going to dampen this bride’s spirits!
Laura is one of those people who is ALWAYS smiling. If you haven’t seen their Dunham Massey Engagement Shoot then check it out and you’ll see what I mean. Her and Ash just make each other laugh all the time. And on the morning of her wedding, surrounded by her best mates she was no different…

Ash was waiting nervously inside the church while the rain poured outside. Luckily there was a welcome break in the weather as Laura arrived and that was the last of the bad weather thankfully!

Father Peter is one of the nicest priests I’ve met – and Laura and Ash love him…

Ash was properly nervous at the front of the church when he knew Laura was here. A friend of theirs sang Ave Maria while the bridesmaids then Laura walked up the aisle.

After the ceremony, we went back into the church for a few group photos, then got some photos of Laura and Ash on their own in the foyer of the church. Because this is a newly built church everything is very clean and bright and plain. Perfect for photos. Happy photographer.

The gorgeous Laura.

With her entourage…

Ash, trying his very hardest to do a serious face. You didn’t manage it, Ash! I don’t think serious really suits you anyway!

Love this one.

After Laura and Ash arrived at the Macdonald Portal Hotel in Tarporley, Cheshire for their wedding reception. They were greeted with champagne, Ash spilt it all over the floor, then we headed out in golf buggies up onto the golf course.

The waterfall on the Tarporley Portal Hotel golf course. Perfectly picturesque for wedding photography. Ash, I can still tell there’s a smirk behind that serious expression!

After the speeches the sun was low in the sky, perfect for some lovely fun bridal party photos. And this was a lovely fun bridal party willing to be a bit stupid. That’s a recipe for great photos right there.

Next it was onto the cake cutting and first dance – Laura and Ash had rehearsed their dance and used every inch of the dancefloor!

This was a great day for Cheshire Wedding Photography – great weather, lovely welcoming guests and a really great couple. I had a great time capturing your day for you, Laura and Ash and I know you’re over the moon with your photos. It was an absolute pleasure to be your wedding photographer. Have an amazing, long, happy marriage.
