I thought I knew what it meant to have an ‘infectious laugh’… until I met Danielle! She laughs a lot, and invariably makes other people laugh too. If the sound of Danielle laughing doesn’t at least make you smile, there’s something wrong with you!
Danielle and Paul got married back in September, at St Mary’s Church in Davyhulme with the reception at Statham Lodge in Lymm. As usual, I started by spending time with Danielle getting ready…

To give Danielle a bit of time without photos I nipped over to Paul’s parent’s house where he was getting ready. He was feeling pretty nervous, but you could tell he was excited too.

I arrived back at Danielle’s parents in time to catch a couple of shots of Danielle’s mum being helped into her dress…

…and then Danielle being helped into hers.

Gorgeous corsetry.

This was the moment Danielle was presented with a little pendant charm present from Paul – even when she’s trying not to cry she’s smiling and laughing. It’s brilliant.

Before we left for the reception, Danielle and Paul were keen to get a couple of photos inside the church.

Statham lodge is a veteran of the Cheshire wedding scene. It’s a grand yet intimate venue for a wedding reception and has a really homely, relaxed feel to it. The staff are brilliantly attentive and nice – all round a great place to celebrate a wedding.

Paul’s face on this next one is because he’d just referred to Danielle as his girlfriend!

The brick here in front of best man Dave is his polite reference to how Paul had been feeling that morning!

I must mention Paul, the videographer I worked alongside for Danielle and Paul’s big day. Paul is from Wedding to DVD videography and it was a pleasure to work with him. For some reason, some videographers and photographers choose not to get along – for me and Paul it was about working together to make sure we created a great set of photos and a great video.

I love to shoot into the light – whether it’s the sun, disco lights, windows – I’m a big fan of flare and particularly for first dances it can give a great artistic feel to the images.

After the first dance, Danielle decided to throw a bouquet. It wasn’t ‘the’ bouquet, she didn’t want to damage that one, and it was good planning because she threw it so hard it ended up almost being caught by the DJ!

Huge congratulations Danielle and Paul – I had such fun, and have had a smile on my face the whole time I’ve been putting this blog post together remembering your special day. It was brilliant – now get on with choosing your photos for your album!
