A few weeks ago I spent a couple of hours at Dunham Massey with Laura and Ash for their pre-wedding photographs. It was such a beautiful Sunday in April, and so Dunham Massey was so busy! This meant we had to work a little bit harder to find nice spots for photography but it was a pleasure taking photos of these two and learning about their very dry and sarcastic sense of humour! Can’t wait for their Cheshire wedding in June!
This photo above… I gave my usual direction to walk and talk about something happy. As they got closer and closer to me I realised Ash was talking about decapitation. Not sure how that happened, but hey Laura laughed all the way!
I’m a big fan of silliness. Big fan. And these two know how to be silly, let me tell you.
Anyone who tells me that overcast days are ‘best’ for wedding photographers is missing out on the beautiful effects you can create on a sunny day, you just have to play the sun’s game! I love shooting into the light and will always choose to if given the choice. Give me sun over clouds any day.
This next photo is the one Laura and Ash have decided to have in their signature frame on their wedding day, for their guests to sign around.
The deer seemed to be hiding for most of the time we were at Dunham Massey but we eventually found some… Ash and Laura got wet bums sitting in the grass but the pictures were worth it ;)
I reckon their wedding day in Tarporley, Cheshire in June is going to be fun from start to finish. I really can’t wait!
