With less than a week to go before Charlotte and Darren’s wedding day at Worsley Court House, I think now is a perfect time to show you their pre-wedding shoot pictures from a month or so ago at Calf Hey reservoir in the Lancashire countryside. We spent a very fun couple of hours walking exploring the paths around the reservoir and stopping now and then to take a photo or two!

Here Darren gives his best ‘blue steel’ look to the camera.

This next one, Charlotte and Darren are having in their signature frame for their wedding day. And I’m so glad, because I absolutely love it too! I actually adore this whole series of the two of them sitting chatting in this spot. It was very peaceful and I just love all the textures.

Love…

…and laughter… That’s what it’s all about isn’t it?

Engagement or pre-wedding shoots (whatever you want to call them!) are great for so many reasons. I feel like I know Charlotte and Darren a hundred times better after spending these couple of hours just walking, chatting and taking a few photos and hopefully they feel the same. They’ll be more relaxed about photos on the wedding day and I’ll have a better idea of what works for them and how they react to me, each other, and the camera. I seriously can’t rave enough about pre-wedding shoots, they’re such a key link in the wedding photography chain!
I seriously can’t wait for Saturday guys – it’s going to be BRILLIANT!
