Cheshire Pre Wedding Photography (Leanne & Chris)

Chris and Leanne are a brilliant couple – Leanne is really comfortable and confident in front of the camera, she’s used to the attention as her alter ego Lilly von Pink. Chris isn’t quite as comfortable but he soon settled into the shoot once he realised it was going to be fun, informal and relaxed – just the way any lifestyle portrait or engagement shoot should be!

(By the way, Leanne aka Lilly von Pink is an exceptionally talented designer and vintage clothing and jewellery creator – you should check her out her blog. I know that before long she’ll be famous and I’ll be able to say ‘I was her wedding photographer you know’)

Anyway, back to the photos… So we headed to West Kirby beach on the Wirral. It was a glorious day, we spent a really fun hour together getting wet feet and some great images.

In my wedding work, I rarely use any filters or toning or effects, but sometimes in engagement and portrait sessions I like to mix it up a little bit and try some new stuff. And with Leanne’s love of all things vintage I gave some images a more vintage feel.

Leanne loved the dog in this one, no idea where it came from but it does add to the photo.

Can I pull off the phrase ‘girl got style!’? No, clearly not. But it’s true. Leanne, in her own words as Lilly von Pink, is ‘a pinch of rockabilly, a dash of 40′s glamour and twist of burlesque’. And she’s got an incredible smile to go with it!

They had this next one framed for their guests to sign around at the wedding.

I was really keen to make sure I didn’t turn the shoot into a Lilly von Pink shoot and made it about Leanne and Chris. But I couldn’t resist the urge to coax out Miss von Pink just a little bit!

Then Chris politely informed me that he wouldn’t be doing any of that posing malarkey! But then Chris pulls off the ultra cool, laid back look perfectly!
