I first met Sally and Lee at her sister Lucy’s wedding to Griff at the Belle Epoque last August. I was their photographer (sorry for stating the obvious) and Sally was Lucy’s chief Bridesmaid. We’ll give Lee the official title of ‘boyfriend of the Chief Bridesmaid’. They weren’t even engaged back then, but were soon after and decided not to waste any time and get married at Christmas.
So 4 months later here we were at the Manchester Hilton for Sally and Lee’s wedding day, 18th December 2010! Their reception was to take place in the ultra-cool Cloud 23 – a location which means a lot to them. In between we had an incredibly fun snow-filled engagement shoot at Trentham Gardens in their home city of Stoke-on-Trent.

Sally had not one but TWO pairs of gorgeous wedding shoes – sophistication for the day and sparkle for the evening!

Cloud 23 was looking great decorated in red and black.

Before the ceremony, we had some time to get some cool relaxed portraits of Lee.

Flower girls! Cute!

How proud does father-of-the-bride Dave look here?! I love this photo.

The red twinkly lights added such a classy Christmassy touch to the venue, and a real depth and atmosphere to the photos.

Don’t those mini burgers and smoked salmon canapes look deeeee-licious?
In part two of this fab winter wedding I’ll show you Sally and Lee’s seriously cool couple portraits around the Hilton – not to be missed! Tune in tomorrow for that!
