Lianne and Rob got married on my own wedding anniversary on 16th July! It was great to be spending my anniversary at another brilliant wedding and with a super-duper couple like Lianne and Rob I knew it was going to be lots of fun and lots of laughing.
[Mrs ARJ understood and we just pretended our anniversary was a day later this year!]
The beautiful bride, Lianne. An incredibly calm bride and it was great to see how much she was looking forward to marrying Rob and enjoying the build up rather than being a terrified ball of nerves! You might remember their engagement session from June – I knew then that they were a special couple and their wedding day was going to be a great one.
“I’m not that nervous” said Rob, as he paced around his living room and kitchen! He was so proud to be marrying Lianne today.
The venue was none other than the stupendously amazing Salford Cathedral. I’m lucky enough to have shot weddings here before, but I remember that the first time you walk in, if you’ve any interest at all in history or architecture it just takes your breath away.
Lianne’s mum was so proud of her, and was on the brink of tears most of the morning. I told her I’d be ready when she finally cracked!
A gorgeous bride needs a gorgeous bridal party.
And of course, the men had their own way of taking the edge off their nerves!
I always feel the need to write ‘here comes the bride’ at this point but I won’t… Oh dammit I just did!
After catching a few minutes for some shots in the cathedral (above) Lianne and Rob set off for another of my favourite Manchester wedding venues – The Marriott Worsley Park Hotel and Country Club.
Their driver had this alternative name badge under his official one!
Working at the Marriott gave me another chance to work with fantastic Toastmaster Stephen T. Sanders.
Golfers only? Rules don’t count for brides and grooms, surely?
Congratulations Lianne and Rob, you make a fantastic couple, it was a privilege to be a part of your special day, and I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world for your future together.
