I’ve known Andy and Bec since they first contacted me about their wedding last October. I first met them in March, but for some reason I feel like I’ve known them for years. I don’t know if it’s only nice people who get married, either that or I’m just lucky that I only seem to get really, really nice people as clients. And these two are two of the nicest I’ve met.
We had tried to have their engagement shoot closer to their home in Birmingham before but circumstances conspired against us and we ended up in a pub chatting and eating peanuts. All in the name of work, I promise!
So at the end of April we met up again, this time at my favourite engagement shoot venue – Trentham Gardens in Stoke-on-Trent. We spent a good couple of hours walking, talking, and taking the odd photo! I was also trying out some different lighting techniques on Andy and Bec which they LOVED!
First some natural light in the bluebell forest…

Same scene, something a little more dramatic:

The scenery and textures at Trentham Gardens are amazing, and fit the style I go for with my engagement shoots…

Aren’t they just too gorgeous?

Back into the woods and more bluebells. And some more creative lighting…

Let me tell you – Andy and Bec absolutely adore one another. I love it. They’re so perfect together and I was so looking forward to being their wedding photographer. Andy will be wearing a kilt – and their wedding is coming up on the blog very soon!

My favourite from their engagement shoot:

There’s more to these next three than meets the eye… Bec absolutely, positively, passionately HATES creepy-crawlies. So getting her to lie down in the bluebells, in the woods was easier than it should’ve been. All in the name of art! And so worth it!

Just real love, by the fountain at Trentham Gardens.

Andy and Bec loved their engagement photos so much, they asked me to make them a guest book from them. This is such a great way to use your engagement photos.

These guest books are a very cost effective way of using your engagement photos. It’s a mixture of photos and blank, lined areas for your guests to leave a message. These books are professionally press printed and bound so that the pages lay flat when opened giving a high-end finish.

I’ll see if I can get some photos of the book all filled in from Andy and Bec so I can show you what a great keepsake this is. And it’s just a really nice way of showing off your pre-wedding photos on your wedding day too!
Andy and Bec’s wedding is coming very soon to the blog!
