Wedding Photography the way I would want it…
Over time, the fundamental service I offer has never changed. It’s full day coverage, with images on disc and a choice of beautiful albums and display products. It’s exactly what I would look for in a photographer if Sophie and I were getting married again. I don’t see the point of limiting your wedding photography to only a few hours in the middle, or compromising on quality and displaying your treasured wedding photography in a substandard album.
Wedding Photography without limits…
You haven’t decided that the important bits of your wedding day will last 4 hours, or 8 hours or that they’ll take place between 10am and 5pm. So I don’t offer my service that way either and I never have. I start at the beginning (which is defined by you) and finish at the end (which is defined by you). If you want photographs of you brushing your teeth, I’m there… If you want a photo of you leaving your reception as your guests wave you off at midnight, I’m there… You get the idea. Full day coverage really is full day coverage. I want you to have me there for as long as you want me there.
There’s also no limit to the number of photographs I’ll take during the day, or that I’ll give you on your disc. It’s usually between 400 and 600 though.
A fusion of documentary wedding photography and natural, relaxed portraits…
The majority of what I do is capturing all that is happening without interfering or making a nuisance of myself. Call this whatever you want – reportage, documentary, photojournalism. I want to capture all the moments, and the moments in between the moments.
But I’m also a strong believer that beautiful photos of the two of you with a little bit of natural, relaxed posing is what completes your wedding photography. It’s so important to set a little bit of time aside to get these photos of the two of you together. You’ll be surprised at how little time you’ll spend together on the day!
The best wedding photography albums in the world…
I looked at a LOT of wedding album manufacturers before settling on what I offer now. Your wedding album is special. It’ll be special on the day I deliver it to you, but it’ll be more special a year later, even more special in five years and pricelessly special in twenty. I offer a choice of a book album or a classic, timeless matted album. Both are absolutely incredible, and it’s a matter of taste which one you want to have your wedding photography preserved in.
