Not just a wedding photographer…
That’s me up there – far right, in case you were wondering! And that’s my little family – Sophie who I married in 2007 on our ninth anniversary of getting together, and our two boys Casper and Felix. I tried to make Casper laugh for this photo by shouting his favourite word, and in the process terrified Felix. Not a ‘perfect’ photo, but perfect to me.
I’m a wedding photographer because…
There is no story to how or why I became a wedding photographer I’m afraid. But I did, which is the main thing you need to know. And I do it full time. And I love it.
I am a photographer because I fell in love with photography. I’m obsessed with it. It consumes me. I need to take photos of life as it passes us by, and that’s why I feel so lucky to do this for a ‘job’ and to capture people’s extra special occassions and life moments for them. No cliche, it’s true. I hate cliche’s so it must be true.
I love Manchester (and New York and Sicily)…
I have grown up in Manchester, have lived here my whole life, been to school here, to college here, met my wife here and built my life here. I love this city, I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Well not in Britain anyway. I’d love to have a place in New York and one in Sicily and split my time between my three favourite places. What? We can all dream can’t we?
