Grace and Phil’s church and marquee wedding in Lancashire
Since leaving my old job to be a full time wedding photographer, I’ve been lucky enough to cover the weddings of quite a few of my old work friends – Grace is the most recent, and possibly the last as I’ve not worked there for a few years now. I was so thrilled when Grace asked me to be her photographer, and her and Phil are just an incredible couple. They got married at a church local to where they live in Barnoldswick, Lancashire and then celebrated in a marquee on Phil’s family farm just up the road. It was a really really chilled day with a fantastic relaxed atmosphere, and it was lovely for me to feel like a proper guest sitting at a table with all my old work colleagues for the wedding breakfast! Loved it!
All day a threatening sky loomed, rained a bit, stopped, threatened but stayed dry and very overcast all day. I loved exploring the yard at the farm and using some super cool textures as backgrounds for the group photos and Grace and Phil’s portraits. Then after the meal and speeches, one end of the marquee began to glow orange, and we were treated to 5 minutes of incredible sunset light. It really capped off what was already a perfect day. And for someone who quite passionately hates having his photo taken, Phil was very co-operative all day!! Thanks Phil mate!
Onto the photos…
Grace and Phil – thanks SO much for having me along, for asking me to be your photographer and for making me feel like one of the guests. I loved every minute. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
I love marquee weddings, and if you’re planning a marquee wedding in Cheshire, Lancashire or any other shire for that matter, I’d love to chat to you about it!
