Award Winning Wedding Photos – ISPWP Awards
Three fresh awards in the ISPWP Winter 2014 Contest!
I’ve been a bit neglectful of my blog lately haven’t I? I have lots of super cool weddings to blog before my 2015 wedding season gets underway and I’m starting with some breaking news – three more awards from ISPWP in the Winter 2014 contest!! ISPWP awards are arguably the most competitive and discerning image awards in the wedding industry worldwide, so to win my thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth awards from them feels amazing! Here are the winning photos with a little bit of background about each one. I love that each one of my awards in this contest received a judges comment too! Happy times!
This first image, from Katie and Andy’s Mitton Hall wedding, is one of my all time favourites and also won a place in the prestigious Junebug “Best of the Best 2014” list. You can read a bit more about it on my blog post about that award.
This next photo, from Claire and Chris’ wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn in lovely Cheshire, is everything I think a wedding day portrait should be. Capturing the amazing feeling of the day in a single photo. Five minutes of quiet time away from the hustle and bustle enjoying the sunset together over the lake. I loved the way the remaining drops of light were just catching Claire’s amazing Jenny Packham dress too.
I’m not a fan of ‘dress hanging up in weird places’ photos but I just couldn’t get enough of these landscapes at Nico and Rik’s Lapland wedding. My overriding memory of taking this one was that I forgot to put my gloves on before very carefully carrying Nico’s dress outside for this photo. When the temperature is -25c that’s not a smart move! Having painful hands for ten minutes afterwards was worth it though!
Thanks ISPWP and the judges of the Winter 2014 contest for these awards! Thanks Katie, Andy, Claire, Chris, Nico and Rik for making them happen! Big smiles!
