Beziers, Languedoc Photography
Destination wedding photographer on holiday in the South of France!
Last week I took a break from the craziness of peak wedding season for a holiday in the South of France with my wonderful little family. We’ve not seen much of each other lately as I’ve mostly been at weddings or locked away editing, so I decided at the beginning of the year to keep the last week of school summer holidays free of weddings so we could escape together. I’ve travelled so much in the last two years – to Kenya, Hong Kong, Lapland, Thailand, France and Italy for weddings, but my boys had never flown and my wife hadn’t been abroad since our honeymoon!! *guilty face*
So we decided on a whim to go to Beziers in the absolutely gorgeous Languedoc region of the South of France. I say decided… it was pretty much the only place we could fly to from Manchester on the dates we needed to travel, so it was more an acceptance that we would go there than a decision, as we only booked it all two weeks ago! Nothing like leaving stuff to the last minute! But it was actually perfect – we got an amazing deal on a huge private villa in the hills above Beziers, overlooking the vineyards of the Languedoc region. We had a massive pool to ourselves and the beaches of Portiragnes and Valras a short drive away.
We swam, sunbathed, played, explored, built sandcastles at sunset and ate junk food. And now we’re home and I’m ready for the 14 wonderful weddings that lie ahead for the remainder of 2014!
Thanks for having us Beziers – we love you, and will definitely see you again soon.
The only camera I took with me was the amazing little Sony RX1R, so all these photos were taken on that little thing…

Love seeing the compositions and creativity seen in wedding photos in family pictures. Once we have finished working on wedding images, we might not view them again, yet these can be enjoyed by you, your wife, your boys and future generations of Johnsons for years to come. Lovely light and tones too. Super nice.
