Sian + Ed’s uniquely beautiful destination chateau wedding in Poitiers, France

What an incredible three days this was in France for Sian and Ed. I’ve done a lot of destination weddings over the years. I’ve done a lot of Chateau weddings over the years. But I’ve never seen a chateau quite like Chateau Des Roches. Just perfect. It’s Ed’s family home too. What a home to have!

After their initial plans for a 2020 wedding were scuppered they postponed a few times before finally being able to have their day, and it was very different to what was originally planned. There would be no ceremony (they had that back home in London) – instead they made a speech to each other in front of their family and friends, it was so special despite being very rainy but somehow the sea of umbrellas make it all the more unique.

They entertained their guests for three days at the chateau in total, all planned by the wonderful Laurence from Peaches and Cream weddings who was an absolute delight to work with. There was lots of great wine, many great moments, and joy in abundance (plus some quite epic sun burn for me). A total delight to be part of it and capture it all for Sian and Ed.
