Lil and Jimmy’s Dorset Wedding
This was Lil and Jimmy’s second of three weddings this year, having already eloped to Paris in June. So in their hearts and minds they were already married before their wedding at Highcliffe Castle in Dorset but this was their chance to not only sign on the dotted line to legalise their marriage but to also have a big celebration with their families and friends in the UK. And there’s still a big bash in Hong Kong to come!
I first met Lil and Jimmy at Parit and Sonal’s wedding in Kenya last year where they were guests, and I was really pleased when soon after they got in touch to ask if I would photograph their weddings. I was already booked for their Paris elopement date, so my great friend Chris went out and photographed that for them, but I was very excited to be able to share in their other two wedding events, and I’m VERY excited to visit Hong Kong for the first time in October!
Lil and Jimmy are two of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure to meet, and I had an amazing day back in July with them and their families and friends at Highcliffe Castle. It was an absolute privilege to be involved. From the super relaxed preparations at The Beach House hotel, to the drinks and ice cream reception that was quickly rained off and moved inside, to the hilarious and heartfelt speeches, and super fun party… Such a great day.
No first dance on this one though, just a boat race. Not something I’d heard of before, and this one doesn’t involve oars or boats, just two lines of people drinking beer in sequence as quickly as possible. So much fun!

The Day After Session…
With the rain preventing us from venturing out on the wedding day, Lil and Jimmy re-dressed the next day and we headed down to the beach in the sunshine…
What a wedding! Next stop: Hong Kong!
