Harrogate Sun Pavilion Wedding
Sarah and Ben’s Yorkshire wedding at Harrogate Sun Pavilion
Sarah and Ben booked me on the recommendation of Sally and Alex whose Yorkshire wedding I’d photographed a year earlier. I knew if they were friends of Sally and Alex’s then this would be a great, fun, relaxed, chilled out wedding and I absolutely wasn’t wrong! I didn’t find out until the day though that Ben is also a professional photographer, which always adds that little bit of extra mental pressure! But there was no need for any pressure – when people smile as much as they do, and love each other as much as they do, my job becomes seriously easy… And with a wedding venue as beautiful as the Sun Pavilion in Harrogate and getting to work with my good friend Jon at Red Seats Wedding Video too, it was like all the pieces of an amazing jigsaw slotting together like magic.
I started the morning with Sarah and the girls getting ready with lots of champagne and laughter while they got their hair and make-up done. I zipped over to see Ben for a bit while he got suited-up with his best man and ushers, and then headed back to Sarah in time for her to get into her dress.
Then we all hot-footed it over to Harrogate Sun Pavilion ready for their beautiful outdoor ceremony. Sarah arrived in her vintage wedding car through the Pavilion Gardens and then walked down the terrace of the Sun Pavilion to marry Ben in the sunshine. Afterwards they enjoyed ‘pimped’ prosecco, hugs, handshakes and kisses outside in the sunshine before heading into the Sun Pavilion itself for food and some very emotionally charged speeches.
In the evening they told me they had some confetti cannons planned so I was prepared for a lot of confetti but there ended up being a blizzard of it! Sarah and Ben fully disappeared momentarily as the confetti fell! An epic moment for an epic couple on an epic day – here are more of my favourites from Sarah and Ben’s Harrogate Sun Pavilion wedding in Yorkshire…
