Day 2 of Natasha and Sachin’s wedding in Cardiff at Cardiff Castle and Cardiff Museum
If you’ve read part one of this blog, Natasha and Sachin’s Indian wedding at Cardiff City Hall, you’ll remember I alluded to the fact that they didn’t bother choosing just one of Cardiff’s amazing venues, they chose all three!!! They had their Indian wedding at Cardiff City Hall, and this is the next day – their civil wedding at Cardiff Castle (possibly now my favourite venue ever) and their wedding reception at Cardiff Museum. I never knew there were such incredible venues in Cardiff, despite some of my family hailing from there. I’m ashamed! I already can’t wait to go back!!
The previous day’s celebrations had ended early, traditionally, as Natasha and Sachin left City Hall straight after saying goodbye to their families after the ceremony. I joined them the next morning as they both got ready at the Cardiff Hilton for their civil wedding at Cardiff Castle – Natasha again being looked after by the brilliant Mandy of Aphrodites MUA. The great thing is all these venues are walking distance apart so I didn’t need my car for the whole weekend – my fitbit watch was a huge fan of me by the end of the weekend! I walked over to Cardiff Castle with Sachin and the boys and soon after, Natasha arrived by Rolls Royce followed by her bridesmaids. An excellent moment of pomp and ceremony – how else do you arrive at an 11th century castle for your wedding?!
The ceremony took place in the Undercroft – a dark and quite spooky room but with immense atmosphere for a wedding ceremony! After that, their guests threw confetti and we were lucky to be able to explore the rest of the castle for some portraits before they left to get changed for the reception at venue number THREE – the amazing Cardiff Museum, with amazing styling and decor by Excellency Event Services…
The reception was the icing on the cake – and speaking of cakes, Natasha and Sachin’s was the biggest I’ve EVER seen. You’ll see below! Amazing heartfelt speeches, delicious food and then non-stop dancing to the end. Perfect!
Thanks for having me there Natasha and Sachin. Here’s a selection of my favourites from Natasha and Sachin’s Cardiff Castle wedding and Cardiff Museum reception!
