Kirsty + Andy // December 2013
Some weddings bring home to me what this job of mine is all about. It’s about people who really bloody love each other. All grooms get nervous, most try to hide it or mask it at least… not Andy. There was a really poignant moment for me when Andy was putting his cufflinks on at his parents house in the morning. They were Tiffany cufflinks, a gift received from Kirsty that morning along with a few others and some very personal little notes. I could tell they were gifts that said “I know you better than anyone” without actually saying that explicitly. Anyway, I’m digressing already… So Andy is putting on his brand new Tiffany cufflinks and he stops and stares at them for a few seconds. It was only me and Andy in the room at that moment, and he looked up at me and just said “She’s amazing”. At that moment I knew this would be an incredible and emotional day, and it most certainly was… When I got to Kirsty, Andy had done the same thing for her – a set of “I know you so well” gifts with some equally thoughtful little notelets accompanying them. They got married in a ceremony overflowing with emotion at the beautiful Parish Church of St Mary in Rostherne, Cheshire before hot footing it (on a VERY cold and windy winters day) over to Rookery Hall in Nantwich. As usual I was there from start to finish, and here are some of my favourite moments from this very special day. This wedding was the perfect way for me to round of 2013 and a superb year of weddings, with quite honestly one of my favourite days of the year… What a way to round off a brilliant year of weddings! Super massive congratulations to the super amazing Kirsty and Andy!
