Delamere Manor Weddings
Stacy and Neil’s summer wedding at Delamere Manor in Cheshire
I don’t think I could’ve wished for a better couple for my first wedding at Delamere Manor in Cheshire. Delamere Manor? Gary Barlow’s old house? Yeah that’s the one. And there’s a piano in the hallway that Gary may or may not have played so I played the only song I know on it while Stacy and Neil had dinner, that was a highlight of 2018!
Back to this legendary couple. True love at its greatest. Lots of life (and kids) have passed for them both before this day but to see how besotted they are with each other, and how much this day meant to them, doing things in their own low key way, was nothing short of inspirational.
With the ceremony due to start, Neil waiting patiently and nervously, Stacy was upstairs not even in her dress yet as if it was any normal morning, finding it all quite hilarious while her dad didn’t find it all that funny. They enjoyed every single moment of the rest of the day, with very little of the usual wedding structure and everything more geared towards just hanging out with their family and friends in this house that felt like their own.
They had planned some surprises to keep their guests entertained along the way including the very talented Alastair Grant playing sax after the ceremony and during the party, stilt walkers, fire eaters, and some brilliant hosting and singing during dinner from John Norcott. It was a really fun but laid back day of celebration and I know that’s just the way they wanted it!
