Fearless Award in Collection 15
I was VERY excited to learn yesterday evening that one of my photographs – this one of Andrea and Gareth slaying their wedding cake – had won a Fearless award in the latest collection, and so I thought I’d share the award winning image here on the blog and say a little about why I enter the Fearless awards, and why I’m a member of Fearless Photographers.
I am super committed to always improving, always making my work stand out and be the best it can be for me and for my couples. For me, wedding photography is not a job. I don’t know what it is or really how to describe why I do it, but it’s far from being a job. I’ve had jobs, and I left my last job to be a wedding photographer. It’s just what I do.
I was made aware of Fearless Photographers last summer and became a member soon after – Fearless encourages and advocates this approach of pushing yourself to create outstanding collections of wedding photography for your couples, and that’s what I buy into and why I’m a proud member of Fearless Photographers. To this point, Fearless have been the only awards I have regularly entered my work into because of their international credibility and relevance to the currency of wedding photography. And that’s why I’m beyond delighted to be able to call myself a Fearless award winner!
I thank Fearless, and the curators of collection 15 for giving my image this award which I’m very proud of. And thanks to Andrea and Gareth for so enthusiastically thrusting this sword into your wedding cake!
Now to decide on my entries for collection 16!
