Lancashire Eaves Hall Wedding
Katie and Craig’s winter wedding at Eaves Hall
I first met Katie and Craig at Rebecca and Anthony’s Styal Lodge wedding a couple of years ago, where Katie was one of Rebecca’s bridesmaids… It’s one of my favourite things when someone knows they want to book me because they not only love the photos I make, but they enjoyed the way I work on the day while I’m making them!
Early last year I headed up to Gateshead where Katie and Craig live for their engagement shoot at the Angel of the North just down the road from their house! I massively enjoyed spending the day with Katie and Craig and getting to know them, and I loved the photos we were able to make that day too at one of Britain’s modern iconic landmarks and it made me even more excited for their wedding at Eaves Hall..
We had super bright and warm sunshine on that day in Gateshead but their Eaves Hall wedding day was a wet one. It rained almost non-stop from just after their guests showered them with A LOT of confetti to just before they sat down for their meal. But who cares about a bit of rain? People often ask me “what happens if it rains?” when they’re booking me, and I tell them – you’ll get married and have fun, just the same as if the sun shines! Sure, it affects how many options we might have of where we can do portraits and group photos but apart from that it’ll still be the best day ever! And it was. It was a beautiful ceremony, more confetti than I’ve ever seen, lots of laughter, an amazing set by Craig and his band in the evening and we finished the day with a rain shot with a difference.
Rain schmain. This is England. This is Katie and Craig’s Eaves Hall wedding…
