Peckforton Castle Weddings – Jody and Andy

Jody and Andy are both doctors, and their married surname is Martin. It took me, my amazing assistant for the day Hannah, and veteran toastmaster Stephen T Sanders a while to work out why there was a pair of boots on top of their wedding cake. Then we all worked ‘doc martins’ out at exactly the same time. Brilliant. And slow. It’s the heat.

This was my third time working at the majestic Peckforton Castle in the last year, but my first summer wedding there and it was great to see Jody, Andy and their guests enjoying their Pimms and canapés during the heatwave out on the lawn.

Jody got ready at Peckforton, before marrying Andy in the great hall then they walked over and had a blessing in the little chapel across the courtyard. They drank pimms in the sunshine and smiled A LOT. It was great! In the evening we left Peckforton Castle in search of the sunset. We found it, along with a very curious cow.

Jody and Andy are brilliant. Their wedding was beautiful. These are a selection of my favourites from their day.
