I’m not sure I’ve ever met two more outwardly happy people than Sally and Sam. They’re hilarious, such fun to be around, and as a couple they’re just out of this world.

In the morning I knocked Sam’s hair gel into the toilet while trying to take a photo. I was – and still am – mortified. He laughed, fished it out (there was nothing in the toilet), rinsed it and got on with it. Thankfully for me. I know – it’s weird for me to tell you that story, but I feel like it sums these two up totally. They’re just happy people, with happy souls, happily living life and loving it.

They laughed ALL day long. You’ll see in the photos. And it’s so infectious, spend a tiny amount of time around them and it just totally rubs off on you. They had the time of their lives and milked this day for all it was worth and it was so amazing to be there, to be part of it, and to turn it into photos for them to remember it forever.

From the minute I arrived at Sally and Sam’s wedding I felt like we were best mates. And my favourite moment from the whole day, and maybe even the whole year, was when Sally turned to be while the surprise singing waiters were performing and genuinely asked me if I had arranged it!

Sandhole Oak Barn is a special venue for me. I’ve been to lots of amazing weddings there during my career. It’s possibly the venue I’ve worked at more times than anywhere else since my first time there for Gav and Lucy back in 2012.

Great people have weddings at Sandhole Oak Barn, and Sally and Sam are the greatest of the great. Here are some of my favourites…
