Congleton, Cheshire Wedding Photographer – Sandhole Oak Barn

Jen and Ash’s beautiful wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn

It’s been just over a month since Jen and Ash tied the proverbial knot at Sandhole Oak Barn in Congleton, Cheshire. I had met them a year and a bit earlier at Anna and Dave’s wedding in Manchester so I was over the moon when they got in touch and asked me to take their photos too. After a two-year absence this was also my third visit to the spectacular Sandhole Oak Barn in three months. I love it up there, it’s so peaceful and private and with the expertise of Annette and her team from Top Table, everything always runs like clockwork while keeping everything nice and relaxed. They’re a total joy to work with.

Jen and Ash’s ceremony was such a happy, relaxed one full of smiles and laughter – exactly what a wedding ceremony should be. I love to see people enjoying the ceremony as much as any other part of the day, and registrars who keep the mood light and fun. They also had two great readings from Ash’s dad and bridesmaid Char.

It wasn’t the sunniest of days but it was warm enough for people to enjoy the outside space at Sandhole overlooking the amazing lake, and dry enough for Jen, Ash and me to wander off exploring for a bit and creating some portraits of the two of them which’ll hopefully end up on their walls.

The speeches were absolutely fantastic, all three of them, and I found myself laughing along from behind the camera all the way through.

I’m also a huge fan of the bow tie look for weddings. Huge fan.
