Wedding Photography Thornton Manor
Jodie and John’s Thornton Manor Wedding Day
Where to start with this one? I remember meeting Jodie and John after a recommendation from their lovely friends, and one of my previous wonderful bride and groom’s Larna and Stewart. As soon as I met them I knew I wanted to be their wedding photographer, and when they contacted me again to book, I was truly delighted.
They chose to get married at the amazing Thornton Manor. I had worked at Thornton Manor before about a year and a half earlier for Sasha and Gareth’s wedding and it was great to be back for Jodie and John’s big day. I met up with John and the boys getting ready at Manor Cottage, then headed over to the main manor house to take some photos of Jodie getting ready in the Lady Lever room.
As someone absolutely obsessed with light, few venues have light that gets me all excited like Thornton Manor. There is beautiful light everywhere, and especially in the ceremony room. And on a cold, windy day like this one being able to find beautiful light indoors for a few cool portraits was so important.
Jodie and John, thank you so much for your trust and enthusiasm for photography both on your pre-wedding shoot and your wedding day at Thornton Manor, you honestly made my job easy and you made me feel like one of your friends. You are so lucky to have such loving, close family and friends and I wish you a lifetime of laughter and happiness – two things I saw so much of on your wedding day!
