Church and Marquee Wedding Photography at Home

I’ve not often left a wedding at the end of the day with a smile on my face as big as I did at this one. Two and a bit years earlier I had photographed Nicola’s sister Larna’s wedding to Stewart at the same church with the same priest and she too had a reception in a marquee at her family home. Last December I photographed the christening of Larna and Stewart’s little boy at the same church, same priest. In April this year I photographed the wedding of Jodie and John, and Jodie’s parents are close family friends of Larna and Nicola’s family who had recommended me. So when Nicola contacted me about photographing her wedding to Jason I was naturally over the moon! But I checked my diary and I was already booked! Sob. I resolved to help Nicola find a great photographer but after some emailing and then chatting at baby Max’s christening she decided they would move the date of their wedding so I could be there! Let me tell you there is very little more flattering than this. So that’s what they did – moved their wedding and I’m SO glad I was able to be a part of it for such lovely people and such lovely families. And when I left Nicola and Jason’s wedding I’ve never had as many hugs and kisses or as many lovely things said to me!

The day was incredible, packed with emotional moments, so much laughter and amazing people. I think every wedding needs a Dave too (Nicola’s dad) – nobody whips up an atmosphere quite like Dave!
