Unqiuely beautiful Jewish Wedding Photography by ARJ Photography®
You’re planning an epic Jewish wedding, and you want every moment captured perfectly – from the quiet, emotional ones to the absolute mayhem on the dance floor. That’s exactly what I do.
Hello and welcome to ARJ Photography®. My name is Adam and I’m a Manchester and Cheshire wedding photographer, available nationwide and beyond, who just loves to photograph Jewish weddings! I’ve made this page just to talk about my passion for photographing Jewish weddings and to show you some of my favourite Jewish wedding photography I’ve been honoured to capture in the past!

Big Moments, Big Energy – Jewish Wedding Photography Done Right
Jewish weddings are full of energy, tradition, and incredible emotions. I’ll be there to document it all in a way that feels real and unfiltered.
My style of Jewish wedding photography is what I like to call “editorial documentary”. Let me explain a bit about that without getting boring!
Documentary wedding photography is about capturing what’s happening while it happens. It’s not about waiting for moments to happen, it’s about knowing and being passionate about the fact that iconic moments are happening constantly at your wedding and wanting you to remember everything.
At the same time it’s about proper photography – not just snapshots – so that the photos of these iconic moments of your life are captured in a way that they are wall-worthy pieces of art. This is my lifelong passion – to capture the iconic moments of your Jewish wedding using my skills and vision to turn them into mindblowing photographs.
Editorial wedding photography is about valuing beauty and creating photographs that wouldn’t look out of place in a high end magazine like Vogue or Vanity Fair.
Normal editorial wedding photography without my documentary approach would mean a lot of posing, a lot of staging moments and a not a lot of taking part in the actual reality of your wedding.
But I believe that reality is the true magic of a wedding, and allowing you to live that reality and capturing that magical reality as it happens, but making it beautiful – that’s editorial documentary Jewish wedding photography, and that’s what I’ve worked so hard on for more than 15 years, and why my photography is so uniquely beautiful.
The most beautiful photography of your iconic moments – magic happens at ARJ Photography®.

Sophie and Tim had their Jewish wedding in Cheshire at Colshaw Hall in the middle of winter. I think you can absolutely feel the emotion of this moment, as Sophie approaches the chuppah and Tim is almost overflowing with all the epic emotions that people feel as one of the most iconic moments of their life is happening.

This is everything I live for in my Jewish wedding photography. Taken at Danielle and Nigel’s London Jewish wedding at The Grove. These moments can’t be staged, and you can’t sit back and wait for them to happen. My approach suits Jewish wedding photography so well because I never stop looking for moments to capture.
I am so passionate about what I do and I care so much about making sure you remember moments like this that happen so quickly. The happiness on every face, not just the one in focus, and then the extra hand on Nigel’s back just completes the photo.
Endorsed by Manchester and Cheshire’s Luxury Wedding Planner Kate Park Events
I’m truly honoured to be recommended by Kate Park Events, one of Cheshire’s top wedding planners. Kate and her team are known for their impeccable taste and their ability to create weddings that are nothing short of extraordinary. To have them recognise my work means a lot to me. Their endorsement speaks to the unique approach I bring to my photography and service.
Be sure to visit the Kate Park Events website to see the amazing weddings they create and take advantage of their free venue finding service too. Their trust in my photography should give you confidence in the dedication and quality I bring to every wedding I capture.
Jewish Wedding Traditions – The Must-Capture Moments
I know how much these traditions mean to you and your family. I’ll be in the right place at the right time to capture them naturally, without interrupting the flow of your day.
It’s worth saying at this point that I’m not Jewish, but I have loved Jewish weddings ever since the first one I captured. I’m also not exclusively a Jewish wedding photographer and I capture weddings for all cultures and religions and have captured weddings all over the world since starting in business in 2009. I’ve photographed weddings in 21 different countries across 4 continents in that time.
I’m a Cheshire wedding photographer based right on the Cheshire/Manchester border and I love to photograph Jewish weddings in Manchester and Cheshire but I’m available all over the UK and world – if you love my style and approach to Jewish wedding photography, I can immortalise your wedding for you.

This, again, sums up my passionate approach to editorial documentary photography for your Jewish wedding. Yes it’s a photo of Rich during the Israeli dancing at his and Martine’s Liverpool Jewish wedding at Sefton Palm House, but just look at everyone’s faces. I love to capture as many moments as possible and as many people as possible during your wedding.
It will have been impossible for Rich to take in everyone’s happiness during this moment but that’s what I want him to see when he looks at this photo.
The Bedeken – The First Look, A Truly Iconic Moment
That moment before the ceremony when the groom veils the bride is packed with emotion, anticipation, and deep meaning. I make sure every reaction is documented beautifully and respectfully during this moment. I think that’s another reason why having an excellent documentary wedding photographer with vast experience of many venues, lighting conditions etc is so important – so that these moments can happen naturally for you and around you without having to ‘do what you’re told’ by the photographer.

The Tisch – The Groom’s Pre-Ceremony Tradition
Before the wedding, the groom gathers with his friends and family for the Tisch, a lively and often joyful prelude to the ceremony. It’s filled with singing, blessings, and all-around good vibes. I’ll make sure to capture those moments of fun and connection for you. It’s worth mentioning here that while I can and have photographed Jewish weddings by myself and I’m available as a solo wedding photographer, I recommend a second photographer for all Jewish weddings just because there are often two things happening at once so it’s usually best to book my second photographer add-on.

Under the Chuppah – Magic Happens
This is where you’ll exchange vows, share a private look, and maybe even shed a tear. I’ll capture it all, from the wide, cinematic moments to the intimate glances. And I’ll do it all without making a spectacle of myself or turning these sacred moments into a photoshoot. Something that’s vitally important to me at all weddings, not just Jewish weddings, it to ensure that I’m not affecting the experience of even a single one of your guests.

This is the next moment from the photo I shared above. The true first look as Sophie enters the chuppah at Colshaw Hall in Cheshire. I’ll always speak to your Rabbi before the ceremony to see what they’re comfortable with in terms of photography and then I’ll always be ultra respectful of any rules they set. I wouldn’t have stayed in the position much longer after capturing any first moments as Sophie and Tim came together under the chuppah, before finding a more discreet position in which to photograph the next part of the ceremony.
Signing the Ketubah – The Ultimate Contract (No Lawyers Needed)
One of the most significant parts of a Jewish wedding, the Ketubah signing is often filled with laughter, nerves, and pure excitement – and I’ll be there to get every shot.

I love to capture all the moments between the moments, and although the overall story I’m telling at this moment is the signing of the Ketubah there are many micro-moments that happen in and around that. This applies to all the many and varied moments of your Jewish wedding too.
Jewish wedding photography isn’t about showing that you had a Jewish wedding in a boring way, it’s about showing the wedding YOU had – bottling the emotions, immortalising the nostalgia, and showing you all as you truly are.
Sheva Brachot – Seven Blessings, Seven Beautiful Moments
Whether it’s a quiet and emotional reading or filled with joy and cheers, this is one of the most meaningful parts of your ceremony, and it deserves to be captured in full.

Breaking the Glass – Smash It Like You Mean It
One of the biggest moments of your wedding, and I promise I’ll capture the reaction – yours, your guests’, and that one uncle who’s way too excited for the Mazel Tov moment.

Now obviously the smashing of the glass moment itself is vital to capture. But the absolute chaotic magic which happens immediately afterwards is what it’s all about! It’s an absolute outpouring of joy, celebration and emotion and knowing this and being ready for this is, I think, the skill of any true Jewish wedding photographer. I’ve already shown you one of these moments above, but here are a few more absolutely iconic Mazel Tov moments:

Hora Dancing – Maybe The Most Fun You’ll Ever Have on a Chair!
High energy, wild expressions, and pure joy! Hora dancing is one of my favourite things to shoot. Don’t worry, I’ll get the perfect shot of you mid-air, holding on for dear life!

I’m starting to harp on about the true beauty of editorial documentary Jewish wedding photography here, but again to me I’m not capturing “The Hora” or “The Israeli Dancing”… You’re doing those things and I’m there to capture what happens, and how people feel while you’re doing that. I do have a little joke with myself that if I survive this section of your Jewish wedding without any minor injuries to my feet or bruises from elbows, then I haven’t tried hard enough! So you can bet I’ll be just as involved in these moments as anyone because that’s what I want you to feel when you look back at your photos!
An award winning Jewish wedding photographer!
When it comes to Jewish wedding photography in Cheshire, Manchester, and beyond, I bring a perspective and style that stand out. Combining creativity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, I aim to capture the heart and soul of your Jewish wedding celebrations in a way that’s truly unique. Because I know you don’t want photos like everyone else!
I’m honoured to have received recognition for my work, earning the prestigious title of UK Wedding Photographer of the Year from The Wedding Industry Awards on two occasions as well as hundreds of individual awards for my photos and storytelling. These accolades reflect my dedication to pushing the boundaries of wedding photography and consistently delivering extraordinary results for all my couples.
Every couple’s story is unique, and I approach each wedding with fresh eyes and an open heart because I’m not just photographing another Jewish wedding, I’m photographing yours and yours won’t be like any other wedding I’ve seen before or will see after because no two weddings contain the same moments or the same people.

Don’t forget mindblowing couple portraits!
At some point during your wedding, whenever it makes the most sense in your timeline, we’ll steal some time together so I can make some amazing photos of the two of you individually and together! Some of my couples don’t want to do any posed photos, and that’s fine too! Whatever you prefer!
