Hello and welcome to ARJ Photography® – my name is Adam and I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years, attending over 600 weddings in that time. This job is my passion and I’d love to be your Borthwick Castle wedding photographer.

Borthwick Castle is such an incredible wedding venue and steeped in so much history too! It’s probably one of the most unique wedding venues anywhere in the UK and feels like a proper castle, not just a wedding venue with the word castle in its name!

I love that Borthwick Castle is run by a really friendly team who really care about everything going perfectly and work tirelessly. I also love that they're not too hands on so it does feel like your own private castle. I love how it still feels really authentic and doesn't have a load of modern upgrades!

Where are the best locations for wedding photos at Borthwick Castle?

Borthwick Castle is a bit of a photography playground! Indoors and out it's overflowing with photo opportunities, plus there are a few hidden gem spots we can hit for your couple portraits if you fancy a few of those!

Do you accept multi-day photography bookings?

I absolutely love multi-day weddings and I think it's always so amazing when people have me there to capture more than just the wedding day. A lot of the photos on this page were taken at a multi-day Borthwick Castle wedding which was spectacular!

Are your travel expenses included in your wedding photography prices?

Yes my wedding photography prices include all my travel costs so no extra expenses for you to worry about. I actually live in Manchester but I've photographed weddings in 21 countries around the world so my love of travel is no secret! I'd love to join you at Borthwick Castle!

My absolute overriding passion is to capture the authentic reality of your wedding in a collection of epic photos. That’s documentary. But I weave into the day a collection of directed shots, portraits and beautiful details – that’s editorial. I blend all that with a few group photos for what I believe to be the PERFECT wedding photography for your wedding. How does that sound to you?

I’ve won hundreds of awards for my photos over the years, recognising the quality and creativity of my wedding photography. But I’ve also won some pretty big accolades too – Junebug Weddings have twice included me on their “Best of the Best” list and I’ve been crowned national “wedding photographer of the year” twice by The Wedding Industry Awards too. Pretty cool, but the best award I can claim is that most of my bookings come from recommendations from my past couples. Epic.
