I knew from the moment I met Laura and Ben that we’d get along like a house on fire and honestly from the moment I arrived at the family home in the morning I was made to feel like a friend by everyone there. Laura’s mum greeted me at the door and very quickly asked if I wanted a cup of tea – always the best welcome and from there on it was just one of the happiest wedding days I’ve ever had the pleasure to be part of! Yes there were plenty of tears during the ceremony as you’ll see but all happy tears and there were way more cheek-aching smiles and so much laughter – Laura has the best laugh, and Ben lives to make her laugh… what a combo.

Laura and Ben got married at Laura’s local family church before heading over to the Crown Hotel in Bawtry. I’ve been to the Crown Hotel before to photograph Kim when she got ready there before marrying Charles – check out their Bawtry Wedding on my blog too!

I don’t make much mention of it and never will but you’ll see some masks in these photos. One soundbite I remember was just after coming out of church someone said to Ben “it was a shame about the masks wasn’t it?” and Ben instantly replied, his trademark smile beaming across his face “I wouldn’t change a thing, honestly, it’s all perfect!”.

Ben, I concur. Yours and Laura’s wedding was perfect from start to finish, and it was an absolute bloody pleasure to be part of your lives for this day and to capture these photos for you.
