M+S’s wedding at Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London

This is an unusual blog post for me because it’s not a full wedding, it’s just M+S’s wedding reception at the grand Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London. Their wedding at the equally grand Waldorf Astoria in London took place a couple of days earlier and was photographed expertly by one of my best friends, the brilliant Rahul Khona.

But don’t let me sell this blog post short – all that is missing is a ceremony! It was quite an experience for me to photograph a wedding without a ceremony but this was still an action packed, emotion filled day with loads of cool moments to be captured as you’ll see below.

I started by going between rooms at Jumeirah Carlton Tower as M+S got ready separately. The light in the rooms at Jumeirah Carlton Tower is just amazing and helped me make some of my favourite ever ‘getting ready’ photos. Once they were ready we headed across the road into the private garden for some portraits of M+S together before they made their grand entrance – played in by saxophone – into the room where all their guests were ready to greet them. After that it was a night of food, speeches and LOTS of crazy dancing. A total joy to capture from start to finish.
