Kishan and Sachna’s joyful wedding at Northbrook Park in Surrey

What I really love to capture at weddings is joy. Love and happiness. Weddings are joy-filled high-emotion life events and that’s how I like to portray them with photography for my couples, to really remember those feelings of love and happiness – pure joy. And joy is exactly the word I’d use to sum up Kishan and Sachna’s Northbrook Park wedding. They are two of the happiest people I know – I’d met them at other weddings and that’s what led them to book me but the first time I’d ever spent any time with them was for their engagement shoot at Sgwd Yr Eira (no idea how to pronounce that) and that was such a fun afternoon spent exploring the unique landscapes of the Brecon Beacons. They are so easy to spend time with and their enthusiasm for photography makes my job even more fun than usual if that’s even possible!!

Great to see Sachin + Natasha and Amar + Vruti, two of my past couples, at Kishan and Sachna’s Northbrook Park wedding – Amar and Sachin are Kishan’s cousins. To see them and their parents at this one made the day feel like a big reunion for me!

Northbrook Park is such a great venue and I’d been looking forward to working here for the first time, and I truly can’t imagine a better first wedding to have photographed here! The weather was so perfect, as Kishan arrived down the driveway to a hero’s welcome from his family and friends. This is one of my favourite parts of an Indian wedding and often think how amazing it must feel for the groom. The rest of the day was just all smiles and laughter and it was really such a pleasure to be there and capture it for this amazing couple.
