This was an amazing start to the year for me, with the amazing Lizzy and Matt in Liverpool. They actually had two weddings and I was lucky enough to be there for both! The first was a gorgeously intimate legal ceremony at St George’s Hall in Liverpool city centre on a very rainy January day and I’ve included a selection of photos from that day to begin this post!

Then a few days later was wedding number two, this time for a truly personal and wonderful humanist ceremony – quick tangent, I highly recommend taking this approach to the ceremony on your wedding day and doing your legal ceremony separately like Lizzy and Matt did for a whole host of reasons – it opens up a whole new world of venues for you, it means you can have a properly personal wedding ceremony in front of your wider family and friends, and it means it doesn’t need to have that legal, formal vibe that registrar ceremonies can sometimes have. It also means you don’t have to set your date around registrar availability AND it means you can choose the person leading your ceremony.

Fabric Studios is such an amazing venue for a wedding because it’s a photography studio with a massive infinity cove which makes for truly unique wedding photos. Apart from the infinity cove it’s also an amazing space with a very modern vibe which is great for the drinks reception straight after the ceremony while we use the infinity cove for group photos and some couple shots! Outside it’s beyond mega with all the street art as you’ll see in the photos, and we did them at twilight which just adds an extra sprinkle of magic! On a warmer day, it would be so great to get group photos and bridal party photos outside too!

After the ceremony in Fabric, Lizzy and Matt took their guests two floors up to the equally spectacular Scale and swapped the infinity cove studio for a loft warehouse vibe for their speeches, dinner and dancing. Such a cool and unique space and with beyond wonderful catering by the tremendous Fig and the Wild. Shoutout to the other brilliant suppliers on the day – Spark Alice Events on styling and GB Wedding Films who was a dream to work with on video.

What a gorgeous day this was and it’s been amazing to re-live it pulling photos together for this post!
