Destination Wedding Photographer Italy
Kate and David’s Sorrento destination wedding on the Amalfi Coast
I met Kate and David ages ago, when they were planning a wedding at Manchester Town Hall, with a reception at another Manchester city centre venue. They live out in Australia so after our first meeting they provisionally booked me for their date in December 2012. Then things changed a little. Fast forward to June 2013 and I arrived in Sorrento on Italy’s breathtakingly beautiful Amalfi Coast to photograph their destination wedding. Ok, maybe things changed rather a lot!
From the first time I met Kate and David I knew we would get along brilliantly and we absolutely did. Their wedding was quite amazing as you’ll see and it was such a massive pleasure to fly out to one of Europe’s fairytale locations to be their destination wedding photographer.
We met up first on the day before their wedding to chat through the plans for the wedding day. I couldn’t resist shooting them an engagement portrait on the balcony of their hotel – the five star Hotel Vittoria Excelsior right in the heart of Sorrento. With views overlooking the coast line and across to Vesuvius from their private balcony, it was absolute perfection. Hotel Vittoria Excelsior was also the venue for their wedding reception the next day where they sat eating scrumptious Italian food and watching the sun setting over the meditteranean.
Their wedding ceremony was held at the San Francesco Cloisters. I couldn’t quite believe my eyes when I went to see it with them the day before the wedding. What a place to say your vows to each other.
I guess you probably want to see some photos now? Ok…
Congratulations to Kate and David. Being your Sorrento destination wedding photographer was an amazing experience for me and it’s been an absolute pleasure getting to know you both and being part of your lives for your wedding. Thanks so much for having me along!
