The best wedding photography of 2025
150 favourites from Cheshire Wedding Photographer ARJ Photography®
Every year I do this collection, and every year it gets harder and harder.
I give myself no rules, other than limiting it to 150 photos, and I’m always curious to see what comes out ‘in the wash’ as they say.
2025 was my sixteenth full year of photographing weddings, and to say I’ve enjoyed it immensely would be an understatement. The industry itself has changed so much since I was a seedling in 2010 when I rocked up to Laura and Liam’s wedding with hopes and dreams of escaping the rat race and seeing if I could pursue a life of creativity, but weddings are still the same when you strip back the social media layers.
It’s a bit like when you strip paint off a door. You go through all the weird and wonderful, sometimes questionable layers that people have slapped on as trends come and go but at the heart of it all is a beautiful original door.
A wedding is a collection of uniquely iconic moments in people’s lives, and from the second I arrive until the second I leave my goal is always to capture as many of them and as much of the soul and essence of that day as I possibly can – no stone left unturned. I give everything I have every time I turn up.
I don’t consider myself a certain type of photographer – I say it every year but what I want to see in my own work when I do this post is multidimensional variety, and that’s what I want to be booked for, not because I’ve put myself in a box or applied a trendy style name to my work.
It’s just photos. Soulful, multidimensional, interesting real photos of real people living real life – wonderfully unscripted. I want people to be excited about what photos they might get from me, and embrace that.
So here we go with another cross section of my year… moments, portraits, details… it’s all here I think.
I love all these photos, and I hope you enjoy them too.
Thanks a zillion to all these couples for putting your faith in me this year and giving me a sixteenth year of living the dream and the same to all you couples who’ve booked me for 2026 and 2027 already. I can’t wait!
“All of these pictures of you and I…Plastered on the hallways of my mind.”
