Laura and Sean’s wedding at The Ashes Barn in Staffordshire

I LOVED Laura and Sean’s wedding at The Ashes in Staffordshire. It was one of those days that I knew was going to be a whole load of fun as soon as I arrived to get some photos of Laura in the morning and she was super calm, super excited and SUPER happy to be marrying Sean! It had been a couple of years since my last visit to The Ashes and it was great to be back at what must be one of the most welcoming, friendliest wedding venues in the country, and for such a brilliant couple as Sean and Laura too! And it was great to have my good friend Toni Darcy helping me out shooting this one.

Laura got ready in the little cottage at The Ashes (I think they call it the old dairy) before heading over to the barn to meet Sean at the top of the aisle for a ceremony filled with laughter and a couple of almost teary moments too! I love how close these guys are to their families, and it was great to chat to them all throughout the day. Everyone really made me feel like part of the family!

This was a really bitterly cold day, but in true British style, everyone was determined to spend as much of the day as possible outside! And there were even alcoholic ice lollies which I’m sure helped take the chill off – although I didn’t manage to try them myself!! People were outside enjoying the spectacular views all day long.
