Saora and Ben’s Connaught Hotel wedding in London

Let me start by saying I’ve had some amazing food at weddings over the years, but I think the food at Saora and Ben’s wedding at the Connaught Hotel in London was possibly the best I’ve ever had. I just wanted to get that fact out there straight away.

Saora is Irish, Ben is English and they live in Singapore but came back to London to get married at the iconic Connaught Hotel. If you want to see luxury cars, don’t pay to see a car show, just stand outside the Connaught for a few minutes. Insane.

I joined Saora in the morning at a house they’d rented in London to get ready. She greeted me as if we were lifelong friends, her mum did the same, her sisters did the same… I think I left that house with a strong Cork accent going on. Such a fun, funny morning!

Ben was waiting for her in the cool ceremony room at the Connaught Hotel where they would spend the rest of the day eating, dancing and generally doing things their way – stand up speeches, no first dance, just a chilled out intimate vibe with their favourite people in the world. Congratulations Ben and Saora – I loved being part of your wedding!
