Rosie and Will’s Eastnor Castle Wedding

Rosie is from Malaysia and Will is from Northern Ireland, so naturally they chose a castle in Herefordshire for their wedding celebrations! I remember asking them in the build up to the wedding why they’d chosen Eastnor Castle… “You’ll see” they said! And I sure did see. I actually stopped in my tracks when I walked through the front door of Eastnor Castle for Rosie and Will’s Eastnor Castle wedding. What a venue this is for a wedding. My word. Each room as I walked through provoked the same reaction of awe. I always knew Rosie and Will’s wedding would be something special but with a backdrop as awesome as Eastnor Castle I was even more excited!!

Rosie and Will both got ready in the incredible bedrooms at the castle, and I flitted between the two of them to get photos as they did it. The build up to the ceremony wasn’t a traditional one, as Will waited for Rosie on the grand staircase as she walked down the stairs with her dad to meet him with all their guests gathered below. I wasn’t sure how this would work, but the emotion was amazing as Will struggled to hold back tears as he watched her. Then they walked through the castle to the ceremony together, which was really different but really nice and I think made for a much more relaxed ceremony.

After the ceremony, Rosie’s dad sang to Rosie, Will and their guests in the great hall at Eastnor Castle. It was a very special song to Rosie, and there was hardly a dry eye in the room.

After exploring for some portraits and enjoying drinks, laughs and a bit of croquet on the terrace of Eastnor Castle, Rosie and Will and their guests sat for dinner and speeches. Then we explored in the dark for some more atmospheric evening portraits before they danced amongst the armoured knights and finished the night with some epic fireworks.

What a day! Huge congratulations to Rosie and Will and I can’t wait for the next time I get to go back to Eastnor Castle!
