Hollie and Joe’s beautiful late summer wedding at Gaynes Park

I love travelling the country (and the world) for weddings. I love discovering new places, meeting new people and finding new wedding venues that I love. Hollie and Joe took me down to Essex to the beautiful Gaynes Park for their wedding on a perfect late-summers day. I knew from our meetings over FaceTime in the build up to their wedding that it would be packed full of emotions, and lots of smiles, and I certainly wasn’t wrong! It was just an absolutely brilliant day from start to finish, and a total pleasure for me to be there enjoying it with them and pointing my camera at it!!

They got ready at Gaynes Park before making the short walk through the amazing walled garden to the Orangery for the ceremony. It was a beautiful moment as Hollie’s mum walked her down the aisle then gave Hollie and Joe a big hug each before sitting down to watch them get married through tears of pride and joy. Hollie is the type of person who wears her heart on her sleeve, which is one of my favourite character traits in a person, and she laughed and cried her way through the whole ceremony!

A really cool feature of Gaynes Park is that you can just make out the London skyline in the distance from the top garden, so we headed up there to make some pictures while Hollie and Joe’s guests took their seats for dinner. The speeches after dinner were so good, so hilarious – especially when Joe’s best man had him dressed up in all sorts by the end, much to Hollie’s and everyone else’s extreme amusement!!

The after-dinner sunset was unreal so we headed into the fields for a few more portraits before it was dancing time, and a bit later on we headed back out in the dark to make some more cool photos around Gaynes Park before the final ‘ceremony’ of the day as Hollie and Joe’s guests made a sparkler tunnel for them.
