Wedding at Iscoyd Park – Faye and Lee
The beautiful wedding of Faye and Lee at Iscoyd Park, Jan 2014
Where can I possibly start with this wedding? The A-list suppliers? The incredible venue? The beautiful crisp January day? The emotional overload? The amazing people that Faye and Lee are? I don’t know. I find it easy to write about stuff, and I love writing, but seriously I’m not sure where to begin…
After Faye and Lee booked me for their Iscoyd Park wedding only a matter of weeks before their wedding, I soon learned that I would be working with the creme-de-la-creme of other wedding people on the day, beginning with the brilliant wedding planner Andrea Swift of Fabulous Day. Andrea made sure I knew everything there was to know about Faye and Lee and their plans for this incredible day and on the day she was relentless in making sure that everything was beyond perfect for them. I didn’t see her stand still or sit down for a single minute all day! Too amazing.
This was also the first time that I got to work with the recently crowned “best wedding make-up artists in England” team of Flossy and Leigh. They created a beautiful atmosphere in the morning for Faye and all her girls, and stayed all day to make sure everyone looked and felt amazing, even creating a new look for Faye and each bridesmaid in the evening – I’m in awe of them as people and professionals.
Red Floral. Mat and his team need no introduction. They are widely regarded as the best around and what they do and what they create is magical. They did all the flowers for Faye and Lee and styled the marquee at Iscoyd Park with their breathtaking architectural floral installations. It looked out of this world.
I was also lucky enough to work with and witness the quite exceptionally brilliant Cole Page in action. This guy is just astoundingly good at what he does. I don’t want to call him a wedding singer because he is way WAY more than that. He’s an entertainer, an atmosphere maker – what he brought to this wedding was his own brand of magic and I’d recommend him to anyone. World class.
And the venue… The incredible venue. Iscoyd Park is just stunning in every way. A family home that is available for weddings, and you really feel at home when you’re there. There’s a special atmosphere, and every inch of it is beautiful. I would want to get married there and I really hope to be able to work there regularly!
And of course, Faye and Lee. These guys… We met back in November to talk about the possibility of them hiring me to take their photos and we just hit it off instantly. We chatted for probably too long about life in general, and they said some out-of-this-world nice things about my work which took my breath away. I was absolutely over the moon when they asked me to be their photographer. Their wedding day was incredible from start to finish. I always say that what I feel I’m there to capture is more than the aesthetics of a wedding, it’s the beauty of emotion and that was everywhere at Iscoyd Park on this beautiful January day. If there was a scale of how in love two people can be, Faye and Lee would be floating somewhere way above it, smiling uncontrollably at each other and kissing a lot! They are blessed with amazing family and friends and are expecting their first child this spring. By the end of the day I was drained in the best possible way, after watching Faye dance first with Lee and then with her dad who adores her and who she adores equally. Really special.
It was just an absolute huge pleasure to be part of this day, Faye and Lee’s wedding day, and I wish them all the happiness in the world…
