Thornton Manor Weddings – Sarah and Rich

It’s 2015 and it’s March. Quite how that happened I’m not sure. It only seems like five minutes ago I was eating Christmas dinner, and it certainly doesn’t feel like almost six months since Sarah and Rich tied the knot at Thornton Manor. But it is. All this gorgeousness happened almost half a year ago and picking photos for this blog post has brought all the super cool memories flooding back for me, just as I hope they do for Sarah and Rich every time they look at them.

What can I possibly say about Sarah and Rich? I love these guys. Such an immense pleasure to be part of their wedding. Sarah has the happiest face of almost anyone I’ve ever met and the love they have for each other is nothing short of inspirational. I had such a good time with them and their families and friends at Thornton Manor back in September.

Not content with just one ceremony, Sarah and Rich had two. The usual civil ceremony early in the day followed by a blessing at twilight. The original plan was for the blessing to take place outside but the wind and cold quickly saw that idea off. So they had the blessing in the great hall at Thornton Manor. I’ve never known an atmosphere quite like it. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. Properly special sauce.

All the flowers at Sarah and Rich’s wedding were provided by my wonderful friends at Laurel Weddings. Sarah’s reaction to them in the morning was utterly priceless. Sarah’s reaction to most things is utterly priceless!
