Rachita and Harpal’s uniquely beautiful Wilderness Reserve Indian Wedding

Wow what a wedding this was! I absolutely love Rachita and Harpal – they seemed so excited to have me there to capture their wedding, and treated me like a friend all through the chats we had in the build up. They made me and the wonderful Ray McShane Films feel so welcome at their wedding at the absolutely stunning Wilderness Reserve too.

And wow what a venue Wilderness Reserve is! It’s shot right into my top 5 venues in the world. I judge a wedding venue not just on how beautiful it looks (Wilderness Reserve is absolutely stunning by the way) but also on whether it has the all important soul, and Wilderness Reserve definitely has that soul. And on top of that a really friendly lovely team of people running it. Perfection!

Rachita and Harpal had two days of wedding celebrations at Wilderness Reserve. On the first day they welcomed their guests, and had some dance performances followed by a Jago ceremony and some hectic dancing! So fun. The second day was their Hindu wedding ceremony with my favourite Hindu priest Sundar Madhava Das. Their ceremony was outdoors, down by the lake and it was so so special and atmospheric.

After that, and after exploring Wilderness Reserve for some wedding portraits, they changed ready for the reception and really wanted some photos up in the woodland ceremony spot, so we headed up there for some photos before they had dinner, some amazingly heartfelt speeches, and then partied the night away.
