There’s a moment in an Indian hindu wedding when the groom is hidden while his bride walks down the aisle and takes her seat opposite him. Then, when she’s ready, he is allowed to see her. It’s one of many extremely choreographed and traditional moments of the wedding but this is one of my favourites. There’s something special about it, about the bride walking down the aisle and everyone in the room sees her before her groom, he is made to wait. Then when he does see her, it’s one big emotional moment. I think it took Bejay by surprise, as he went from the biggest smile I think I’ve ever seen, to tears within seconds. It was special to witness.
