I often talk about emotion and energy being something I consider a key ingredient of my wedding photography… Well, Jordy and Opal’s wedding was the poster wedding for emotion and energy and was SO MUCH FUN to be part of from start to finish.

In the morning I joined Opal and her bridesmaids and the wonderful Love Hair by Lou while they were all getting ready. You can see in the first photo below they all did a great job of keeping Opal calm and making sure especially that she didn’t cry her makeup off before the day had even begun!

After that I headed over to Brook Farm Cuffley where I found similar scenes as Jordy was surrounded by all his groomsmen who were keeping him calm… no wait, actually they seemed to be hyping him up for the day ahead! This set the tone for the day, a day full of big characters, big iconic moments, but also some really amazingly quiet moments of emotion during an epic outdoor ceremony under the trees at Brook Farm Cuffley.

The family and bridal party’s entrance into the marquee before the reception was just an incredible string of moments, I’ve included a few below. It was hectic, it was hilarious, it was patriotic, it was just brilliant!

Above all, for Jordy and Opal, it was a day to celebrate family and friendship for a couple who are crazy in love, just like their neon sign said!
