Chateau Wedding Nice France – French Riviera wedding at Chateau Saint Jeannet

Maurice and Temi’s luxury Chateau wedding in Nice, France

I met Maurice and Temi at their venue – the iconic Chateau Saint Jeannet, near Nice – the day before their wedding to meet them and for a look around. They were there with their full bridal party to have a ceremony rehearsal. Just witnessing the general banter and fun being had that afternoon I knew the next day was going to be something special and oh boy was I right.

I love France, my family has a strong connection to France, and the first European destination wedding I ever did was in France. But I’ve not done all that many weddings in France over the years, so it was really lovely to be back and in Nice – a city I’d never visited before. With Maurice getting ready at a villa in the hills, and Temi at a city centre hotel, I got to drive all over the city and loved it!

Chateau Saint Jeannet is spectacular. There’s a gorgeous orchard where they hold the ceremonies, and the canopy was welcomed on a truly scorching summer day! I had to include a shot below of Maurice with his fan, while he waited for Temi to arrive! And she definitely made him wait!

The moment of the day for everyone involved – a well kept secret from everyone including me – was when Maurice sang to Temi as she walked down the aisle. And he was accompanied on keyboard by his brother. Honestly, I talk about iconic moments… this was next level.

After the ceremony we used the last of the daylight to make some amazing portraits around the Chateau Saint Jeannet grounds, before dinner on the lawn and party in ‘the garage’. And what a party. These two and their friends know how to party!
